Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on television. This role earned her an Emmy nomination in the Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category. She also won two SAG Awards, both for exceptional performances in the cast of a comedy.
Jenna was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but was raised mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was a child who watched her mother, Anne, in church productions. It instilled in her a love for theatre.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. In the Off-Broadway Play Reasons to be Happy written by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer starred. She went on to star in the world premiere of Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking performance in The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer started her own podcast, the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf, in October of 2019. The podcast quickly became popular. Each week it ranked among the Top Ten in global downloads, with over 200 million downloaded in the initial two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's also the co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office The Story of Two Best Friends there. This autobiography is about their friendship and the work they did on The Office.
