Zazie Olivia Beetz was born in Berlin in 1991. Her father is a German cabinet maker, who immigrated to America in the year 1990. United States in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and her mother is a South Africa-American social worker in New York. She graduated from the same high school as Jennifer Aniston. Beetz attended Skidmore College to study French after completing LaGuardia. Following college, she auditioned and was selected for the part as Van at Atlanta. Beetz is the daughter of a German father and an African American mother from Berlin was raised in New York and spoke German as well as English. Zazie has been performing in theatres in the community and on stage in New York since her childhood. Zazie discovered that she enjoyed acting while at high school. Zendaya achieved an Disney Channel breakout role thanks to Zendaya's impressive dance abilities. In 2010 the actress and dancer got her first break-out part when she got the role as Rocky Blue in the show 'Shake It Up', alongside her co-star Bella Thorne. Zendaya went vegetarian at 11, after passing the killinghouse along together with her dad on a roadtrip. PEOPLE reports that she said, "It was horrible to witness all the animals awaiting slaughter in that slaughterhouse." That's not the way I ate my meat! She's been eating predominantly vegan diet since then.
