Elizabeth Andrea Bitsie Tulloch (born January 19 1981) is an American actor. Her most well-known role is her performance as the character Juliette Silverton/Eve in the NBC TV series Grimm. Tulloch is a native of San Diego California and grew to be a part of Spain Uruguay and Argentina. Tulloch is known as Bitsie and is not a diminutive of her real name Elizabeth however it is a tribute to her strangely-named grandfather, a World War II bomber pilot who was also part of the fatal 1961 Goldsboro B52 plane crash. Tulloch's acting career started with being recognized under the nickname Bitsie. This continued until 2017 which is when Tulloch decided to use Elizabeth. When I meet new people I will introduce myself to them as Bitsie. As I began my journey in the field of acting, I would introduce myself as Bitsie. Now I am in my 30s, and I feel that for the sake of billing, I would like to go back to Elizabeth. This thought didn't occur to me until I began filming. The director said "Hey we were able to see Elizabeth as we completed the legal papers." Do you like this way of billing? When I had a second thought I contacted my agent and manager. They thought it was a good idea. Age has shifted. Bitsie has a really adorable name. This is cute. That's all that was said. There is no way to introduce myself as Elizabeth today. The name is only for billing purposes going forward. Tulloch has both Scottish as well as Spanish family heritage. Tulloch has stated her first language was Spanish but she now believes she is fluent in Spanish. Her paternal grandmothers family is from Renfrewshire as is her grandfather's family. Both was from the area of Kirkwall and Scotland. In an article for BBC News, she stated that they believe the Tullochs first came to the US around 1880. They and the Kerrs did so in the middle of the century. Following her return in the U.S. she went to secondary and high school at Bedford New York. Tulloch was a graduate of magna cumlaude from Harvard University with a double major in English as well as American Literature and Visual and Environmental Studies.
