Taylor Joy admitted that the transition from Buenos Aires to Victoria was a struggle as she was unable to study English and was hoping to go again to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend after switching from Northlands. She enrolled later at Queen's Gate School in which she was a ballet student and took part in school-based plays. After 16 she decided to leave school to focus fully on acting. Taylor-Joy's desire to become a professional actress started at a young age.
