April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) started her musical journey as a 7th grader when she took guitar and piano lessons. April Lockhart wrote her first single"Different" when she was twelve years old. When she was 14 April devoted a great deal of time in creating song concepts and practicing her music. Then, in the following months, April began to travel with her dad and write in NY or LA. April began to include various other topics relevant to the Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart collaborates with famous clean beauty brand Ilia and is also a lifestyle influencer with her own growing following. Born without a left hand, she has a significant part to play in her. But it's not her entire story. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook her handicap. However, it doesn't insist on her disability. What message is it trying to convey? It's this That we all carry multiple identities and are more complex than we think we're. Lockhart said via video that she didn't want to be defined solely by her disability. She doesn't wish to be a disability advocate who only talks about that. There are a variety of aspects to Lockhart. My day-today life is not affected by it. I lead a normal daily life, and come up with my own solutions to issues. This is a major element of my life and it's imperative that we talk about it. Lockhart encourages us to keep going with self-acceptance. However, she admits to going through periods of feeling uneasy about her appearance and wearing clothing with arms. Today, she wears anything she'd like. and she shares her photos on social media. One of the keys to self-love for her is the fact that it's not a destination. However, I believe that's the case with everyone with whatever their insecurity is. It's my opinion that having those around you who really understand you and can see your feelings is crucial because they'll be the people that remind you of what are you worried about?
