Bill Self was one of America's most famous and richest basketball players. Bill Self was born on December 27, 1962 in Okmulgee. Bill's net worth estimated as of 12/11/2023 is $10 million. Self played his first three seasons at Tulsa (1998-2000) in which Self compiled a Tulsa greatest record (74-27) after rebuilding Golden Eagles. While at TU Self coached the Golden Hurricane to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances in 1999 and 2000. Self led Golden Hurricane's first Elite Eight game in 1999-2000. He was awarded Naismith College coach of the year in 2012. The same year, he received was awarded his fourth Big 12 Award of Coach of Year. He was married Cindy Self in 1989. Tyler is his son and Lauren is Lauren's daughter. Self was born in the city of Okmulgee, in the state of Oklahoma. His father was a basketball coach as well as a teacher for the close Morris High School. The basketball scholarship was awarded to the student from Oklahoma State University. The school provided letters of recommendation for the entire four years. He earned a business degree in 1985 from Oklahoma State in 1985.
